On November 4, Volvo Cars announced that in October this year, thanks to the strong performance of its electrified models (including pure electric models and plug-in hybrid models) in the European market, the company’s global sales increased slightly year-on-year.

In the same month, global sales of Volvo Cars electrified models increased by 40% year-on-year, accounting for 48% of the company’s total global sales.
Among them, pure electric vehicles accounted for 22% of total car sales in the month.
In the first 10 months of this year, Volvo Cars ‘total global sales were 622,608 vehicles, an increase of 9% over the same period last year.
In terms of region, in the European market, Volvo Cars sales in October surged 21% year-on-year to 30,167 vehicles.
Among them, sales of electrified models surged 46% year-on-year to 19,976 units, accounting for 66% of Volvo’s total European sales in October.
, In the U.S. market, Volvo Cars sales in October fell 17% year-on-year to 9,360 units.
However, sales of its electrified models in the United States increased 18% year-on-year to 3,574 units, with sales of plug-in hybrid models surging 67% year-on-year to 3,003 units.
, In the China market, Volvo Cars sales in October reached 13,502 units, down 10% year-on-year.
Among them, sales of electrified models reached 1,436 units, an increase of 23% compared with the same period last year.
, In terms of models, in October this year, the Volvo XC60 became the company’s best-selling model, with a total of 19,846 units sold (20,212 units in the same period last year).
