As we all know, since its launch, the Model Y has gradually replaced the Model 3 as the most popular model for Tesla, and its global delivery volume has been increasing (except for the suspension of production of the Shanghai superfactory due to the epidemic in the second quarter of 2022).

If the car continues to move strongly, the Model 3 may not be able to stay on the podium of the top three in the new energy market this year.
After all, under the fierce attack of BYD Song Plus, it had been squeezed into the third place in the previous two years.
In fact, not only Qin Plus, but also BYD Seagull, BYD Yuan Plus, BYD Han, BYD Destroyer 05, Aion S, Aion Y, BYD Tang, Chang’an Lumin and Teng Teng D9 and other independent new energy models all made considerable progress in March thanks to the recovery of the Chinese market after the Spring Festival holiday, with the last five all back on the list, while in terms of ranking, the destroyer 05 made the greatest progress.
Like Qin Plus, the price of the 05 honor version of the destroyer in February will also be adjusted to 79800 yuan, so in the following first full sales month, it has reached a monthly high of 19000 since it went on sale in March, and it is also the first time that it has entered the top 10 of new energy in the world.
It also made the cumulative sales of destroyer 05 soar to 33000 in the first quarter, making it a place on the global list of best-selling new energy models for the first time.
If some models stride forward, there is bound to be a decline in the ranking of models.

During the peak delivery period in March this year, Tesla’s performance could only be described as “mediocre” and only 168000 vehicles were sold.

Of course, the skinny camel is bigger than a horse, and its sales are still more than three times that of BMW behind it.
BMW and Mercedes-Benz are nothing compared to the first two giants, but as far as they are concerned, they have both achieved very good results.
Although not a single BMW or Mercedes-Benz model has appeared on the global TOP20 list since the rise of China’s new energy in 2021, the brand still sells a lot of cars because of its large number of models.
For example, in the European new energy market, BMW i4, BMW iX1, Mercedes-Benz EQA and Mercedes-Benz GLC PHEV are favored by consumers.
In China, models such as BMW i3, BMW iX3 and Mercedes-Benz EQE have also gained a lot of sales due to big discounts.
Among them, because EQA and EQB each sold about 6000 vehicles, GLC PHEV also gained about 4200 vehicles, and Mercedes-Benz new energy sales reached a new high of 38000 vehicles in March.
Not only Mercedes-Benz, but Volvo also set its own record high of 35000 vehicles in March as EX30, XC60 and XC40 continued to sell well in the European market.
In addition to BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo, other brands that performed better in March were GAC Ean and Toyota.
With the revival of the ride-hailing market, GAC’s Ian sales picked up again to more than 30,000 vehicles in March, sending its ranking soaring from 19th in February to 9th.
Toyota made little progress in March, but its sales were the best ever, putting it ahead of Kia for the first time in recent years.
Toyota’s soaring sales were mainly due to an increase in sales of the bZ3, which sold about 5700 vehicles in China, and bZ4X, which also gained 6100 worldwide.

Just considering that the current market competition is extremely fierce, Toyota needs to speed up the pace of innovation.
It is also worth mentioning that Chang ‘an Qiyuan, who ranked at the bottom of the list in March.
As a new brand that launched its first product in the second half of last year, relying on Changan Automobile Group, Changan Qiyuan currently has three models on sale, and it also hit a new high in March, making it the first global new energy brand list.
