On June 20, 2024, Horse tires of Germany, the world’s leading tire manufacturer, announced the formal commissioning of the fourth phase expansion project of its first production base in China, the Hefei plant.
When production is full in 2027, the annual production capacity of the mainland Horse Tire Hefei plant is expected to increase to 18 million passenger car and light truck tires a year and create 400 new jobs.
At present, the total investment in Hefei production base is nearly 1 billion euros.
The expansion will strengthen its business in the Asia-Pacific region and the Chinese market and help Continental further increase the overall production capacity of its ultra high performance (UHP) tires.
