The experience of changing tires is different! Bridgestone new energy vehicle special tires what black technology?

Some people say that new energy vehicles are not only the power system into the new world, not only the change of driving form from fuel to electric, but also bring all-round innovation to all fields of automobile from the inside to the outside, including tires.

So what is the difference between the special tires of new energy vehicles and ordinary tires? In fact, there are mainly two points, low roll resistance and NVH performance of these two cool techs.

Low rolling resistance can bring lower energy consumption performance and longer mileage for new energy vehicles, while the better NVH performance of special tires for new energy vehicles can also make new energy vehicles with more obvious road noise and tire noise have better mute quality without engine noise.

But specifically, how different is the actual experience of new energy vehicles with better low rolling resistance and NVH performance from ordinary tires? We just had an actual test for you recently.

Click to watch the video: changing the tire experience is very different! What kind of cool techs tires do you have for Bridgestone New Energy vehicles? In order to give you a more intuitive sense of the difference, we will use the data to speak through the comparison test.

The test vehicle is Tesla Model 3, and there are two test items, the first is the low rolling resistance of the tire, the second is the in-car NVH test, by comparing the original Tesla tire of exactly the same specification, and Bridgestone’s T005 EV tire, to see what is the difference between the two different tires.

The way to test the low rolling resistance is as follows: accelerate the vehicle to 40km/h and slide into the state, and choose the weakest mode for kinetic energy recovery.

After releasing the switch pedal, we can directly see the difference between the taxiing distance of the two tires, and the natural rolling resistance of the long distance is even lower.

In the end, we see that the taxiing distance of Bridgestone calm T005 EV tire is 81.

3m, and that of Tesla original tire is 78.9m. Obviously, Bridgestone calm T005 EV tire has a longer taxiing distance.

The reason why Bridgestone’s T005 EV tires have a longer taxiing distance is precisely because of its low rolling resistance technology, that is, Bridgestone’s ENLITEN technology.

Low rolling resistance is technically called Low-RRC, which is composed of energy loss, tire deformation, material volume and so on.

Bridgestone found that the most effective way to achieve low rolling resistance is by reducing the use of tread rubber.

Reducing tread rubber can achieve lighter tire weight, which is most helpful to reduce RRC.

The Bridgestone T005 EV tyres tested this time also reached the highest level of energy saving in the European standard, that is, Class A certification.

However, in order to test more in line with everyone’s car scenario, we will also test the battery life energy consumption of Bridgestone T005 EV tires around 100km.

The final test results show that the average energy consumption of Tesla Model with Bridgestone calm T005 EV tire is a full 1kWh lower than that of the original tire.

Based on the 60-degree battery pack carried by Tesla Model 3, using Bridgestone calm T005 EV tire can run more 50km.

For new energy car owners, for every point of battery life, sense of security will get more points.

After a test, Bridgestone’s new energy vehicle special tires are really a good choice.

At the end of the test, we also compared the NVH of the two tires.

We drove Tesla Model 3 equipped with two different tires on the same section of the road at three different speeds of 60km/h, 80km/h and 100km/h, and passed the decibel meter test to the noise level inside the car.

The final test results show that the NVH performance of the calm T005 EV tire on Tesla Model 3 is better than that of using the original tire.

But how did Bridgestone’s new energy car tires achieve better NVH performance? This is actually Bridgestone’s B-SILENT technology.

B-SILENT technology is the mute cotton technology.

By installing the mute cotton on the inside of the calm T005 EV tire, it can absorb the sound waves generated by driving bumps, thus suppressing the inner vibration of the tire-on the one hand, it absorbs the cavity resonance, on the other hand, it also takes up the space inside the tire, making it difficult for resonance to occur.

In the end, the quiet cotton can reduce the noise of the tire itself and the noise caused by the vibration transmitted to the car, and Bridgestone tires equipped with B-SILENT technology are also clearly marked on the side of the tire, which is easy for everyone to identify.

After a hard core test, we can see that although it is theoretically possible to use ordinary tires on new energy vehicles, it is obvious to use special tires for new energy vehicles with low rolling resistance and quiet tire technology.

The driving experience will be better in the end.

As the test results show, Tesla Model 3, which uses Bridgestone T005 EV tires, has immediate results in energy consumption and NVH optimization.

Now, with the rapid increase in the number of new energy vehicles in China, the calm T005 EV tires using Bridgestone ENLITEN and B-SILENT technology are actually very popular.

For example, Bridgestone calm T005 EV tires have been on the market since 2021.

For the blowout listing of new energy vehicles in these two years, it has also expanded from 1 specification to 10 specifications, covering mainstream new energy models such as Tesla, BYD, Xilai, Xiaopeng and so on.

So, the next time your new energy car gets new tires, will you choose special tires for new energy vehicles? , return to the first electric network home page >.
