to arrange recall and maintenance matters.
, In fact, this is not the first large-scale recall Tesla has conducted in China this year.
On January 5 this year, Tesla launched a large-scale recall involving vehicles including some imported Model S, Model X, Model 3 and domestic Model 3 with production dates from August 26, 2014 to December 20, 2023.
, Model Y electric vehicles, totaling more than 1.
61 million and some imported Model S and Model X electric vehicles with production dates from October 26, 2022 to November 16, 2023, totaling 7538.
Among them, more than 1.
61 million vehicles were recalled because when the automatic assisted steering function is turned on, the driver may misuse the Level 2 combined driving assistance function, increasing the risk of vehicle collision and posing a safety hazard.
The reason why 7538 vehicles were recalled was that due to door unlocking logic control problems, in the event of a collision, the door latch on the non-collision side may disengage from the latch, leaving the door in an unlocked state, posing a safety hazard.
Similarly, Tesla solves the above two problems through Remote Vehicle Upgrade (OTA) technology to push new features and free software upgrades to vehicles within the recall scope.
