Foreign media quoted data from relevant agencies as saying that in the first 11 months of this year, Tesla sold 28,498 electric vehicles in South Korea, with an average of more than 2500 vehicles per month.
The annual sales are expected to exceed 30,000 vehicles.
Agency data also shows that in terms of electric vehicles, Tesla’s sales in the South Korean market in the first 11 months of this year were second only to Kia and higher than Hyundai.
Kia’s electric vehicles sold 34,384 units in South Korea in the first 11 months, and Hyundai’s electric vehicle sales in South Korea in the first 11 months were about 30 units lower than Tesla.
, Like many markets around the world, Tesla currently sells four electric vehicles in the Korean market: Model 3, Model Y, Model S and Model X.
Although the electric pickup truck has been shipped to South Korea for testing and certification by regulatory agencies, sales have not yet started, and they have not disclosed any information about the start of sales of Cybertruck.
It is worth noting that Tesla currently sells in South Korea includes the domestic Model 3 and Model Y produced by the Shanghai Super Factory.
The Model Y was the highest-selling imported car in the Korean market in the first half of the year, with 10,041 units sold.
Driven by the popularity of the Model 3 and Model Y, Tesla’s sales in South Korea in the first half of this year reached 17,380 units.
