According to foreign media reports, Tesla has suspended the delivery of Cybertruck due to a problem with the motor of the giant windshield wiper.

This is because of the huge size of its windshield and requires corresponding wipers to effectively remove rainwater.
Cybertruck’s design goal is to form a straight line from the front end to the top of the roof, making it impossible to hide the wipers between the hood and the windshield.
In order to meet this design goal, Tesla chose a giant exposed wiper and placed it in a vertical resting position to comply with aerodynamics and so that the wiper would not interfere with the appearance and performance of the vehicle when it was not needed.
However, in actual use, this design still encountered problems.
For example, some car owners reported that they could not activate the wiper when encountering heavy rain, which caused the driver’s vision to be blocked.
In addition, some car owners mentioned that the wiper had problems keeping it stationary and sometimes started automatically for no reason.
These problems may be related to Tesla’s automatic windshield wiper system, which also exists in other Tesla models.
, Currently, Tesla has postponed the delivery of Cybertruck.
According to multiple car owners who pre-ordered Cybertruck and Tesla service center employees, the delivery date will be delayed by at least one week.
The Cybertruck Club revealed that the delivery delay is related to windshield wiper motors, and Tesla will have to replace all windshield wiper motors on Cybertruck.
However, this statement has not yet been officially confirmed by Tesla.
Tesla has not issued a recall notice for the Cybertruck, despite multiple reports of poor or malfunctioning wiper motors for the model.
