According to the spokesperson, employees are expected to return to work after the New Year as planned.

On December 1, Stellantis ‘board of directors accepted Tang Weishi’s request to resign as CEO, effective immediately.

On December 19, Kevin Gotinsky, who heads Stellantis at the UAW, said in a letter to union leaders,”Now that Weishi Tang has left, I believe things are starting to move in a more positive direction.

The company has reversed some previously announced plans to lay off workers at its Mack, Jefferson North and Toledo plants.

As leadership changes, Stellantis may reconsider plans to move UAW jobs to other countries.
