According to Reuters, Stellantis said it will recall 317,630 vehicles, most of them in the United States and a small number in Canada, Mexico and other places, due to a failure in hydraulic control units that caused systems such as anti-lock braking to fail.
The recall involves Ram pickups from model year 2017 to 2018, including the Ram 2500, Ram 3500, Ram 4500 and Ram 5500.
According to NHTSA documents, all affected vehicles have such defects.

Stellantis also responded to NHTSA’s investigation and collaborated with NHTSA to conduct testing before mid-year.
After reviewing engineering data and testing defective parts, Stellantis launched a voluntary recall on November 21 this year to address control unit defects.

Stellantis reported that in the third quarter of this year (July to September), its net revenue fell 27% from the same period last year.
