On November 18, 2002, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. was established. It is a large-scale Sino-foreign joint venture automobile company jointly established by SAIC Motor Co., Ltd., General Motors (China) Company and Liuzhou Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd. Its predecessor can be traced back to the Liuzhou Automobile Power Machinery Factory established in 1958. The company currently has four major manufacturing bases: Liuzhou Hexi Headquarters, Liuzhou Baojun Base, Qingdao Branch and Chongqing Branch.
