NIO also said that as one of the important scenarios for NIO point-to-point piloting assisted driving, the PSP will be built simultaneously with the NIO Expressway power exchange station to help users quickly locate the power exchange station.
Achieve a full-process independent power exchange experience, making high-speed travel easier.
As early as November 15, 2023, NIO Automobile announced that it will launch Banyan 2.2.0 versions in batches for the current version of Banyan 2.0.8 CN and above and the NT2 models that have been registered, and plans to complete software push for all vehicles within one week.
Among them, the main new features of Banyan 2.2.0 CN include the PSP high-speed service area pilot power exchange function (Beta), NOP + enhanced pilot-assisted high-speed experience improvement, etc.
The new PSP high-speed pilot power exchange service has attracted much attention.
The so-called PSP means that when the vehicle is driving on the highway and NOP + is turned on, the vehicle can independently pass the ramp from the main highway according to the navigation route and the ordering status of the power exchange order, drive into the target service area, go to the power exchange station and complete the power exchange.
After the power exchange is completed, the vehicle drives out of the station, returns to the main highway and connects with NOP + to continue piloting driving.
Complex scenarios such as queuing for power changes, bypassing obstacles, and avoiding pedestrians can be supported on the way.
, This also means that the PSP seamlessly connects with NOP + and deeply integrates the NIO power exchange experience, which can realize full-process automation and full-process pilot experience for high-speed power exchange scenarios.
In addition, NIO also announced that on May 20, a total of 800 NIO Expressway power exchange stations will be built, covering 11 major urban agglomerations with 7 vertical and 6 horizontal directions, connecting 700+ cities across the country.
Users can travel smoothly at high speeds and achieve long-distance worry-free.
