The reason for emphasizing the new power is that the lowest price of their cars is NT $20,000 to NT $300,000, and now some of them still sell for NT $500,000 to NT $600,000.
if it does not make sense in terms of supplementary experience, then consumers’ money is not worth it.
We took an inventory of the replenishment situation of six new power car companies, combined with their investment in the field of overcharging, as well as their layout and planning for the future, to see which one is the energy maniac.
, Weilai, change power stations: 2398, charging stations: 3747 (including 2192 overcharging stations), maximum power per pile: 640kW, many people jokingly call it an energy company, which is enough to prove that Weilai has strong strength in energy replenishment.
First of all, let’s take a look at power change.
as of April 6, Weilai laid out a total of 2398 power stations, covering the highway network of 7 vertical, 6 horizontal and 11 major urban agglomerations across the country, connecting 700 + cities.
It is worth mentioning that in the past year alone, 1000 + three-generation power stations have been arranged in Weilai.
Starting from April this year, Weilai will set up 1000 four-generation power stations this year, shorten the switching speed to 3 minutes, and also support the Ledao brand.
In terms of the layout of charging stations, Weilai has built 3747 charging stations with a total of 21800 charging piles, which is not only the automobile brand with the largest number of piles in the Chinese market, but also the automobile brand with the largest number of over-charging piles in the highway service area.
From the technical point of view of the overcharged pile, Weilai began to deploy the 500kW supercharged pile in March last year, while the 640kW liquid-cooled supercharged pile will be arranged from April this year, with a maximum output current of 765A and a maximum output voltage of 1000V.
, Xiaopeng, charging station: 1100 + seats (including 354 S4 overcharging stations), maximum power per pile: 480kW.
Among the new power car companies, Xiaopeng has the second largest charging network.
As of April 2024, Xiaopeng self-charging stations have a total of 1100 +, with a total of 5300 + charging piles, covering 400 + cities, of which 354 are S4 overcharging stations.
Xiaopeng’s layout of energy replenishment facilities in the next three years is very radical, and it is planned that by the end of 2026, there will be 10,000 self-charging stations, including 4500 S4 liquid-cooled supercharging stations, which is about 10 times that of today.
Xiaopeng is the first new power car company to carry out high-voltage fast charging.
The existing Xiaopeng S4 liquid-cooled supercharged pile has been on the ground as early as August 2022, with a maximum charging power of 480kW and a maximum current of 670A.
It is a pity that there is no news of Xiaopeng’s next generation of overfilled piles at present.
, ideal, charging stations: 357, all are overcharging stations, single pile maximum power: 520kW, the ideal of focusing on extended range in the past few years, started relatively late in the construction of energy replenishment network.
As of April 2024, there are 357 ideal self-operated supercharging stations, with a total of 1544 charging piles.
Although the scale is relatively small, the ideal advantage is that all self-charging stations are overcharged.
The ideal plan is to build 2000 overcharging stations by the end of this year, covering more than 90% of the national highway main lines and the core areas of cities above tier 4 by 2025.
Before the release of the ideal MEGA, ideal had planned to give priority to the layout around the highway, but after the MEGA did not live up to expectations, Li Xiang made adjustments in his internal letter, saying that he would speed up the construction of supercharging stations in the head city.
The ideal overcharging station can be divided into two specifications, the first is 5C overcharge, the maximum power of single pile is 520kW, and the maximum current is 740A.
The second is urban overcharge, and the maximum power of a single pile is 250kW.
, polar krypton, charging station: 900 + (including 456 overcharging stations), maximum power per pile: 800kW, the charging network of polar krypton ranks third in the new power, but it is far ahead in overcharging technology.
As of April 2024, there were 900 + polar krypton self-charging stations, including 456 overcharging stations (officially called extreme charging stations) and 2483 extreme charging piles.
In the whole market, the 800V super-filled pile of polar krypton ranks first.
In terms of future layout, polar krypton announced the plan of “thousands of stations and ten thousand piles”, that is, 1000 + overcharging stations will be built in 2024, and the number of overfilled piles will reach 10000 + in 2026.
Among the new power car companies, the polar krypton overcharge technology is the most advanced, and the iteration speed is very fast.
The earliest pole charge V1 has been launched as early as 2021, the maximum power of a single pile is 360 kW in June 2022, the pole charge V2 landed, using 600kW full liquid technology.
in April 2024, the pole charge V3 landed, the single gun peak power 800kW, the maximum output voltage 1000V, the maximum output current 800A.
That is to say, the overcharging power of polar krypton has been significantly ahead of the current charging power of 5C batteries, which can fully meet the demand for energy replenishment for a long time in the future.
Huawei, charging station: 200 + seats (as of November last year), maximum power per pile: 600kW, unlike other car companies, Huawei’s supercharging piles mainly target the B-end market and will sell solutions and provide technical support to dealers and agents of charging stations.
As for the consumer market, it was reported in November last year that Huawei had deployed more than 200 supercharged sample stations.
In terms of future planning, Huawei currently has 20,000 ultra-fast charging piles in operation, and plans to deploy more than 100000 Huawei liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging piles in 2024.
It should be noted that Huawei’s role in the 100000 charging piles mentioned here is not the builder and operator, but the technology supplier.
It can also be understood as “Huawei does not build piles, but it will help enterprises build piles”.
In terms of overcharging technology, Huawei’s fully liquid-cooled supercharged pile has a maximum power of 600kW and a maximum current of 600A, which is in the leading level among the new forces.
Xiaomi, charging station: the first batch of planning Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, the maximum power per pile: 600kW, the last Xiaomi car, also announced the plan to build its own energy supplement network at the SU7 press conference.
Lei Jun said that Xiaomi will adopt the 600kW liquid-cooled overcharge scheme, and the first cities to be built are Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou.
At present, a Xiaomi overcharging station has been put into operation inside the Xiaomi car super factory in Yizhuang, Beijing.
In order to meet the needs of the consumer market, Xiaomi has also been connected to a third-party charging service provider.
Xiaomi also said that SU7 has conducted more than 70,000 consecutive charges in previous road tests, optimized more than 500 compatibility issues with different manufacturers, and tested more than 200 different types of charging piles, a total of 18900, with more than 99% compatibility with third-party charging piles.
