In this regard, Jaguar Land Rover China said that the company has recently launched a series of transformation measures to operate models and organizational structure in China to improve organizational competitiveness while simultaneously accelerating the implementation of the global strategy of “reshaping the future” and the smooth development of the new joint venture model.

It is reported that the relevant measures have been in-depth communication and reached consensus between Jaguar Land Rover and Chery Automobile, and the goal is to integrate, empower and improve efficiency with the existing organizational structure and Chery Jaguar Land Rover.

Specific measures include: around the “Joint Marketing Sales and Service Organization”(IMSS), newly establishing localized operation teams for the four major brand families of Range Rover, Guardian, Discovery, and Jaguar, establishing a business center, optimizing function settings, and promoting resource integration, thereby creating a full-link business operation platform for the company in China.

Based on the new strategic plan of the joint venture and the product layout of “Freelander Freelander”, Chery Jaguar Land Rover will further open up the integration of R & D, design, procurement and other departments with the parent companies of both parties, increase resource exchanges and sharing, and ensure electric and intelligent talent reserve, and optimize and sort out the functions of operating departments such as finance, IT, and personnel to enhance organizational interaction and synergy.

It is worth mentioning that Jaguar Land Rover Global CEO Adrian Mardell revealed in a public interview in July that in order to optimize the brand structure and improve overall profitability, the Jaguar brand is planning to significantly reduce and eliminate some existing models.
