Kyocera launches semiconductor Peltier refrigeration modules to improve cooling performance by 21%

According to foreign media reports, KYOCERA Corporation has launched a new semiconductor Peltier refrigeration module (thermoelectric module) with better heat absorption performance.

Compared with traditional Kyocera products, the maximum heat absorption rate of this new Peltier module has increased by 21%, and its cooling performance has been significantly improved.

Kyocera’s semiconductor Peltier modules are mainly used for temperature regulation of car batteries and seats, and improved cooling performance will help extend battery life.

As of June 2024, the company has shipped a total of 32 million vehicle-related products and will continue to supply parts and components that support the development of the automotive industry.

Regarding the semiconductor Peltier module, the semiconductor Peltier module is an energy conversion device with semiconductor elements sandwiched between copper substrates.

When current passes through, one side of the substrate absorbs heat (cools), while the other side releases heat (heats).

This allows the surface temperature to quickly cool or heat up and can be adjusted to or maintained at a specific temperature.
