According to foreign media reports, military electronics and avionics systems supplier Intellisense Systems announced that it has received a contract from the U.S. Department of the Army Assistant Secretary of Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ASA (ALT)) to develop advanced power management systems for future airborne platforms.
The solution integrates power management and power distribution functions, including load shedding and predictive data collection, to maximize the efficiency of matching power to load at all stages of the mission.
Compared to black box power systems that operate independently on traditional systems, this controlled and coordinated power architecture saves significant fuel, reduces component stress, and improves power quality.
