According to foreign media reports, Kayla Blado, spokesperson for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), said on June 20 that the committee accused Honda of illegally suppressing union activities at a factory in Greensburg, Indiana, of violating workers ‘rights.
Blado said the NLRB’s general counsel filed a lawsuit on June 18, alleging that Honda forced workers to tear UAW stickers from safety helmets, illegally monitored employees, and threatened to punish union supporters.
, A Honda spokesman said in a statement that the allegations were unfounded and the company “looks forward to the hearing.
” The spokesman said: “Allegations of unfair labor practice are a common tactic used by unions to create publicity and attention for their organizational activities.

, Last month, the UAW lost an election to represent nearly 5,000 workers at a Mercedes-Benz Alabama plant.
The UAW asked the NLRB to order a re-election and accused the luxury carmaker of violating various rights of workers.
The UAW has also filed a complaint with the NLRB, accusing Hyundai Motor and Volkswagen of illegally interfering in union activities.
The two companies have denied wrongdoing and said they respect workers ‘right to choose whether to join a union.
