German researchers develop dynamic turn signals for autonomous vehicles to improve road safety

In recent years, micro optical projectors have been widely used in the automotive field.

These projectors allow cars to communicate with their surroundings.

According to foreign media reports, researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering (Fraunhofer IOF) in Germany have developed dynamic turn signals that ensure maximum visibility in a compact shape even in daylight conditions.

The indicator will be unveiled for the first time at the OPTATEC 2024 trade show in Frankfurt from May 14 to 16.
