On September 29, Funeng Technology and Jiangling Group New Energy officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement on solid state batteries.
, At the signing site, Funeng Technology’s first super soft pack power battery solution SPS (Super Pouch Solution) battery system supporting the “Yi” model was rolled off the production line.
According to the agreement, the two parties will share resources and complement each other’s advantages, with the goal of jointly promoting the research and development, production and market application of solid-state batteries.

It is reported that Funeng Technology and Jiangling Group New Energy have been cooperating for nearly ten years, and the E100, E200, EV3, GSE and other models developed by both parties have been launched one after another.
Data shows that Funeng Technology released SPS, a large soft-pack power battery solution in September 2022.
This solution is a new power battery solution previously released by Funeng Technology for the TWh era.
It integrates the four innovative technologies of large soft-pack batteries and large soft-pack battery systems, large soft-pack battery manufacturing and direct recycling.
It is a complete set of systematic integrated solutions covering from material design to process flow, to recycling, supporting the vehicle’s 10-minute battery life of 400 kilometers.
SPS product design is compatible with various material systems such as ternary, sodium electricity, LFP and LMFP.
Compared with traditional technologies, the system volume group efficiency is expected to increase by more than 30%, and the battery system structural components are expected to be reduced by more than 30%.
The cost is significantly reduced.
, At present, Funeng Technology SPS has been developed and applied in multiple passenger car projects, and its products have been successively sent to downstream vehicle manufacturers.
In addition to Jiangling, it has also been targeted by Geely and Dongfeng, which is expected to bring about multiple improvements in product performance, safety and other aspects, and greatly optimize product production costs.
Thanks to the company’s continuous increase in supplies to customers such as Mercedes-Benz Group and GAC Group, as well as the addition of new customers such as SIRO for bulk supply.
According to data from EV-volumes, a third-party organization that tracks the global electric vehicle market, the global installed capacity of Funeng Technology in the first half of this year was 4.
8 GWh, ranking eighth in the industry.
