Former Tesla and General Motors executives join electric vehicle charging company EVgo

According to foreign media reports, electric vehicle charging network operator EVgo has included a number of former Tesla and General Motors electric vehicle charging experts into its leadership team.

, EVgo is reported to operate one of the largest public electric vehicle charging networks in the United States.

On July 25, EVgo said in a statement that it had appointed Martin Sukup as executive vice president of engineering this month.

Sukup has worked for Tesla for 14 years, responsible for Tesla’s residential product architecture and charging systems, and delivered several generations of super charging pile products.

, EVgo also announced that Jeff Inhofer has started serving as vice president of engineering for electric vehicle supply equipment this month.

Inhofer has worked at Tesla for 10 years, developing products for global supercharging networks and residential solar devices.

According to reports, his most recent position was senior engineering director at Vammo, responsible for developing hardware for the power-changing function of electric motorcycles in Latin America.

In addition, EVgo has appointed Alex Keros as the company’s vice president of products, effective August 12.

Keros had been working at General Motors for nearly 20 years.

, Keros’s most recent position at GM was director of electric vehicle infrastructure development.

He commercialized advanced technology and established new business models for electric vehicle deployment and shared transportation.

EVgo said he will focus on the company’s product and service strategy, including market research and product needs.

EVgo supports General Motors Energy brand charging piles at Pilot and Flying J travel centers along the highway.

GM and EVgo have also collaborated to install fast charging piles in more than 50 major cities in the United States.
