In September 2024, Doyle launched an EcoMeter SP continuous metering system specially designed for continuous coating of high viscosity rubber materials, which can ensure the continuous filling of adhesive materials.
As a complement to the previously introduced piston metering system, EcoMeter SP uses a spiral shaft drive, which is lighter and more compact than existing piston metering systems, has lower maintenance costs and is more cost-effective, making it ideal for high-dose adhesive applications that require a large supply of adhesives or sealants.
The screw quantifier is connected with the glue material supply pumping station, and the servo motor drives the central spiral shaft to rotate, which drives the other two screw shafts to rotate in the opposite direction, and continuously presses the glue material stored in the rubber pump supply station into the metering quantitative machine.
In contrast, the existing piston metering system relies on the reciprocating motion of the piston to press the glue material into and out of the cavity, so the glue coating process will be interrupted frequently, which may cause the glue coating cycle to exceed the beat.
In addition, there is a maximum filling limit for the piston metering system.
In order to achieve continuous glue supply, users of the piston metering system usually have only two options: one is to buy the maximum model with a volume of 600 milliliters.
The other is to use two smaller models with a volume of 150 or 300 milliliters in series.
To increase the glue dosage and shorten the cycle time, the glue dose of the EcoMeter SP system is not limited, so it can be used in a wide range of automotive manufacturing processes, including body-in-white body manufacturing, final assembly and battery manufacturing.
The advantage of the system lies not only in continuous measurement, but also in saving the time of piston filling, thus shortening the cycle beat and improving the efficiency of glue coating.
Compared with the double-piston series metering system, the EcoMeter SP system uses a spiral shaft design, which can reduce weight by up to 20%, take up less space, and can be connected with a small robot arm, enhancing its flexibility and maneuverability.
In addition, compared with the series piston metering system, the EcoMeter SP system is equipped with only one feed seal ring, which is easier to maintain, resulting in lower energy consumption and up to 40% lower cost.
Suitable for large doses of glue, Doyle has previously launched the EcoShotMeter piston metering system, this new EcoMeter SP system is not intended to replace the former, but as a supplement.
With its versatility and flexibility, EcoMeter SP system can better adjust pressure and volume flow rate.
At the same time, screw quantifier can accurately measure volume flow and meet specific requirements.
It is an ideal choice for high pressure, high volume flow and high precision glue coating.
Therefore, the EcoMeter SP system is suitable for glue scenarios that require stable output pressure and continuous glue supply, such as the bonding and sealing of panoramic glass roofs during final assembly, or large doses of glue needed for battery boxes and module seals, EcoMeter SP systems can provide reliable solutions.
There are two options for the Duer EcoMeter SP system: one is that the EcoMeter SP is directly connected to the application glue gun, and the other is that the EcoMeter SP is connected to the application glue gun through a hose.
EcoMeter SP is also suitable for large quantities of industrial adhesives using 1C one-component and 2C two-component materials.
