Ford is preparing to resume delivery of the FMI 150 Lightning this month after it suspended delivery due to undisclosed quality problems.
In the latest change in the pricing of the FMI 150 Lightning, the most popular standard version of the XLT is reduced by $2000, starting at $62995.
The extended version of the Lariat starts at $76995 and is reduced by $2500.
The base price of the cheapest Lightning remains unchanged at $54995.
Ford said that the biggest price reduction is the extended version of the Flash, which is reduced by $5500 and starts at $67995.
Ford’s price cut reversed some of its previous decline, when Ford halved production of its iconic electric car and cut a shift of workers.
Ford said the price cut would help the company “adapt to the market and achieve the best combination of sales growth and customer value”.

Tynan wrote: “the total supply of Fmur150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E at Ford dealerships soared to 130 days in the second quarter, compared with 31 days in the same period last year.
The prices of both models are more than $3500 lower than the list price, and the price continues to fall.
