According to foreign media reports, Stellantis brand Citroen will launch a sedan style small SUV in the second half of this year, thereby expanding its product lineup in India and South America.
Citroen released a photo of a concept car called Basalt Vision and said it was in trial production.
The company has not yet disclosed the official name of the model after its launch.
The Basalt Vision is the third model to use the Smart Car platform, following the C3 hatchback and the C3 Aircross SUV.
Citroen did not disclose any technical details about the new model.
The Smart Car platform is designed in cooperation with the Indian enterprise Tata Consulting.

The European version of the C3, made in Trnava, Slovakia, has been redesigned and its body and interior have been modified.
