On November 7, Celis Automobile issued a statement today through its official Weixin Official Accounts, responding to the recent online identification results of the M7 accident in Guangzhou.
The accident occurred on July 6, 2024.
Celis contacted the owner immediately after the accident and conducted vehicle data analysis.
, , according to Celis’s statement, after vehicle data analysis, the vehicle’s steering and braking functions were normal before the accident, and the vehicle was in a human-driven state at the time of the accident.
The opening of the switch was 100%, and no active braking was recorded.
However, the car owner did not recognize this conclusion and entrusted Shenzhen Nanyue Property Evaluation and Appraisal Co., Ltd. to conduct the appraisal.
The appraisal result triggered widespread discussion on the Internet.
, at present, the case has officially entered judicial proceedings.
Selis emphasized in his statement that the accident identification agency must be jointly selected by both parties or appointed by the court, and the final factual determination will be based on the court’s confirmation.
In addition, in response to suspected fabrication and dissemination of false information, deliberately smearing and damaging the company’s commercial reputation and product reputation, Celis has reported to the public security organs and filed a civil lawsuit with the court to pursue legal responsibility in accordance with the law.
, the cause of the incident was a vehicle identification report disclosed by the owner of the M7 on social media.
The identification report was issued by Shenzhen Nanyue Property Evaluation and Appraisal Co., Ltd.(hereinafter referred to as “Nanyue Identification Company”).
The report pointed out that within 5 seconds before the accident, the driver’s brake pedal failed, and the accident report data and conclusions issued by Celis Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. were artificially revised.
Fu Jianghong, the person in charge of Nanyue Identification Company, confirmed that the online identification conclusion was issued by the company, and revealed that the vehicle’s “black box” data had been sealed in the company’s laboratory.
,, it is understood that the traffic accident involved occurred in Foshan, Guangdong.
The owner once questioned the vehicle’s sudden acceleration and brake failure.
AITO asked the automotive customer service through its official Weibo account that the vehicle’s accelerator pedal is open at 100% and is not an AEB trigger scenario, and there is no record of active braking.
, , regarding the qualification of Nanyue Identification Company, it was rumored online that the company was a finance company and had been restricted, which led to ambiguity about the credibility of its identification results.
The final result will not be settled until the final ruling of the legal department.
