According to foreign media reports, Audi will recall 9,653 E-Tron GT models in the United States to replace front brake hoses that may rupture and leak.
The recalled models include the 2022 to 2024 standard E-Tron GT and sports RS E-Tron GT sedan.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said the front brake hoses of affected vehicles may not be able to withstand the bending and deformation inherent in normal operation.
This may cause cracks in the fabric material of the hose, which may lead to leakage of brake fluid.
, Audi said that if this happens, drivers may notice a longer brake pedal travel or see a warning light on the instrument panel light up.
Audi also added that while the company has received two warranty claims related to this issue, it has not received any reports of collisions or injuries related to this defect.

Audi dealers will replace the front brake hose for affected vehicles free of charge.
The company is expected to issue a notice letter to car owners on August 16, 2024.
, The Porsche Taycan shares the J1 platform and 800-volt electrical architecture with the E-Tron GT, so some Taycan models will also be recalled due to possible rupture and leakage of front brake hoses.
Porsche will recall 31,689 Taycan models from 2022 to 2025 in the United States and will also replace front brake hoses for affected vehicles free of charge.
